Fraser's Driving School - Practical TestThe practical test is designed to make sure you can drive safely and unaccompanied. The driving part of the test lasts approximately 40 minutes. At the start of the lesson you will be asked to read a car number plate from a distance of 20 metres (20.5 metres for old style plates). You will then be asked 2 questions about basic car maintenance. The test consists of various exercises which may include some of the following;
Your examiner will assess any errors you make and, depending on how serious they are, record them on the driving test report form. You'll fail your test if you commit a serious or dangerous faults. You'll also fail if you commit more than 15 driving faults. The test costs £62 on a week day and £75 if taken over the weekend. |
